Lake George, NY: Three Souls, One Summer Scene

The week after Father’s Day, I packed light but traveled heavy—with intention, emotion, and two of the most important men in my life: my dad and my husband.

We didn’t go to escape. We went to remember. To reset. To share a moment that felt like a scene written just for us.

Scene One: Arrival

Lake George greeted us with still water and soft light. The kind of summer air that makes you breathe deeper. My dad, ever the observer, pointed out the boats. My husband scoped out the trails. I framed the shot—three shadows on the dock, cast long by the late afternoon sun.

Eats & Echoes

  • Rooftop Cabana Bar: We toasted with frozen cocktails and watched the lake shimmer below. My dad told stories. My husband laughed. I listened, camera in hand, capturing the kind of joy that doesn’t need direction.

  • Lake George Baking Co.: We grabbed cider donuts and coffee, then walked the shoreline. My dad bit into his and said, “This is what summer tastes like.” I’ll never forget that line.

Adventures Shared

  • Prospect Mountain: We drove up together, windows down, music low. At the summit, we stood side by side—three perspectives, one view. I shot wide, then tight. Legacy in every frame.

  • Steamboat Cruise: We boarded just before sunset. The lake turned gold. My husband leaned into the breeze. My dad leaned into memory. I leaned into the moment.

Legacy in Motion

This wasn’t just a trip. It was a chapter. A reminder that the most cinematic scenes aren’t scripted—they’re lived. And when you travel with people who shaped you, every step feels like a callback to something deeper.

Lake George gave us stillness, story, and a few frames I’ll carry forever. This blog is where those moments live. Where travel becomes texture. Where every post is a frame in the reel of a legacy I’m building—with them, for me.
